Morocco Post Group and CTT Correios de Portugal announce the launch of a joint issue of two postage stamps, on the occasion of the 250th anniversary.y Thirtieth anniversary of the peace treatyy Anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Friendship, Good Neighborliness and Cooperation between Morocco and Portugal.

The unveiling ceremony for this special program was held on Monday, October 7, 2024, at the Moroccan Postal Museum in Rabat, in the presence of Messrs. This joint issue consists of two postage stamps illustrating two artworks symbolizing the historical ties that unite the two countries.

The first work, on the Moroccan side, is an illustration of the scaffold of the port of Essaouira, an 18th-century monumenty It was founded by Sultan Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdallah, signatory of the peace treaty in 1774. This site is an essential element of the defensive architecture of Essaouira, classified as World Heritage by UNESCO since 2001.
