Marking Nature FestivalThe San Martin Nature Reserve Management Association offers many activities. The first meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 22, from 1:30 pm to 5 pm to visit the nursery located on the edge of the Salines d'Orient pond, followed by a mangrove planting session. The opportunity to contribute directly to the restoration of this precious ecosystem. “The educational team will give you a presentation about the nature reserve, a sea turtle activity and a bird watching session with binoculars!“, continues the organization.
Hike the Froussards Trail
The second event will take place on Saturday, May 25, from 9am to 12pm with a hike on the Froussards Trail. Participants will also benefit from animation about invasive alien species and “The negative impact of these species introduced by humans on local ecosystems“.
Finally, on Saturday afternoon, from 2pm to 5pm, you will have to go to the sanctuary headquarters at Hope Estate to learn more about sharks and the One Shark Project. For this event, registration is required. Virtual reality immersion to discover coral reefs will also be offered.
This is the fifth year that the Nature Reserve Management Association has organized the Nature Festival in partnership with the EDF Archipel Guadeloupe group.
