The 110 rooms on Brodeur Street, renovated and furnished to date by LS4 Immobilier, are located 2 km from the campus.
The first tenants have already been settled in anticipation of the start of the school year on September 4. Only 20 units are still available, 8 double rooms and 12 single rooms.
“Since announcing our partnership with UQTR last May, we have been inundated with calls and requests. Although the renovations are not yet complete and we are unable to show rooms, students still want to book a place. The last few months have been a real race against time, but today we are very happy to offer a high-quality building, close to all services, which will enhance the comfort and academic success of students,” explains Annie Lemieux, Head of LS4 Immobile.
The building features a large, fully equipped communal kitchen and laundry room as well as living spaces that encourage meetings and exchanges. Rent ranges from $635 to $960.
Respond to request
To meet the needs of a population of nearly 15,000 students, which includes a strong increase in international students year on year, QUT has turned to partnerships, such as LS4 Immobilier.
It was easy to get along with. [pour] “Allowing our students to find accommodation in exceptional circumstances. It is this kind of collaboration that helps make QUT the destination of choice for those who want to thrive in a stimulating, dynamic and accessible environment,” says University President Christian Blanchet.
The arrival of the Rumi residence adds to the university’s efforts, which has 500 additional residences compared to the same date last year. UQTR has established notable new partnerships with those responsible for the Collège Marie-de-l’Incarnation residences for 72 rooms and has worked with the General Assembly of Students (AGEUQTR) on the La Canopée residence project for 179 apartments.
