The Mégantic region will once again be a prime place to view the Perseids.
It is a meteor shower visible in the Earth's atmosphere, formed from debris from Comet Swift-Tuttle. These meteors can be observed from approximately July 20 to August 25. The best time of year for this is from 9 a.m. to noon on Monday, August 12.
In the area, inclined benches can be accessed in the panoramic rest areas on the summit road to enjoy the phenomenon.
We find La Patrie, Notre-Dame-des-Bois, Val Racine, Wobourne, Beaupolis, Marston, Lac-Mégantic, Nantes, Lac-Drolet, Lambton, Saint-Sebastien, Saint-Romain, Stornoway, Weedon, Ham-Sud, Saint-Adrien.
