Portuguese pianist Antonio Oliveira will give two concerts for Amigos de Música on December 13 and 15. These will take place at 7 pm in the Os Agostos County Auditorium, near Santa Bárbara de Nexe.
Tuesday (13e), and Antonio Oliveira will play the music of W. Mozart, Franz Liszt and Robert Schumann, while Thursday (15)e), featuring works by Claude Debussy, Leos Janakik Sergei Rachmaninov, Portuguese composer Antonio Fragoso and Telmo Marquez.
Antonio Oliveira obtained his first degree in Porto, then studied with Laszlo Simon at the Hochschule der Kunst in Berlin and obtained his master’s degree from the Hartt School, University of Hartford, USA.
He is active in the field of repertory, both as a soloist and in chamber music, and has performed in numerous concert halls in Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, Finland, Turkey, the United States and Canada.
has been broadcast before PDR antenna 2 and appeared in RTP Portuguese TV.
Together with clarinetist Antonio Rosa he founded Projecto XXI, which created and recorded two CDs with music by Portuguese composers.
Antonio gave world premieres and recorded the music of Antonio Chagas Rosa. He premiered Telmo Marquez’s Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No. 1 with the Orquestra Clássica da Madeira. He has released two solo piano recordings: Chopin and Liszt in 2016 and Ravel W Janakik in 2018.
Antonio Oliveira teaches at the Conservatorio de Música do Porto.
Amigos de Música concerts in Os Agostos start at 7pm. Doors open at 6pm and wine, smoothies and appetizers will be served. There will also be a short turnaround time with refreshments served.
Amigos de Música is an international group with about 120 members that organizes the musical activities of world-famous musicians and also sponsors young Portuguese musicians. It is a non-profit organization and celebrated its 30th anniversarye birthday last year.
