All Portuguese flavors were brought together on the big screen at the headquarters of the Portuguese Laurentian Association, chaired by Pele de Almeida, and splendidly animated by Rosa, Manuel Afonso (Master grilladin), Isaac Goncalves and their friendly team of volunteers around the dinner.
The Laurentians Portuguese put the small plates into the big plates to discover for a plethora of guests, including Mayor Alain Gott, Assistant Pascal Bellos, José Viegas, and Municipal Chancellor, and the country’s specialties by suggesting a typical menu with chicken churrasco, rice and potatoes.
The event also aims to publicize this association which attracts people of Portuguese origin or nationality as well as others. This beautifully, competently prepared version was a discovery that blends traditional and French songs, creating an atmosphere of colorful and lively rhythms, with gentle and generous melodies. In short, an evening in red and green and as Manuel Afonso points out: “It’s an opportunity to introduce our culture and our country to the people here. In addition, we welcome everyone. Exchange and friendship are very important.” The guests who discovered it saw the atmosphere that prevailed during this dinner.
