Cinematic parties to discover the rarity of Portuguese silent cinema, an exhibition of BBC furniture and contemporary ceramics by Alice Javali, three tours a week not to be missed.
Discover the unknown treasures of Portuguese silent cinema. With the start of the France-Portugal 2022 season, Portuguese cultural news promises to be especially rich. At the Jérôme Seydoux-Pathé Foundation selective mandates are given to the Cinematheque of Lisbon. Its curator, Thiago Baptista, presents a program of cinematography to introduce Parisians to the scarcity of silent cinema from the years 1919 to 1934. Between literary adaptations and experimental works, this course exhibits a remarkable stylistic originality. Note that all sessions are accompanied by pianists from Jean-François Zygel’s improvisation class of the CNSM in Paris.
Until March 29 at the Jerome Seydoux Pathé Foundation. Foundation-jeromeseydoux-pathe.com
