Spain and Portugal : 1-1
Morata (25) for Spain / Horta (81) for Portugal
Portugal snatches a tie in Spain
Spain and Portugal are involved in a 1-1 draw at the Benito Villamarin Stadium. After half an hour playing with a lot of technical waste, especially among the Spaniards, La Roja managed to open the scoring quite logically. Gavi fires a Spanish counter and serves up Sarabia who finds Morata at a touch in the area and who just has to wrap up (25). Later we will only see a chance for Soler (29) and one for Andre Silva (35). In the break, the Spaniards led the score without being safe.
Relatively bad game
In the second half, the match was initially very sporadic with many fouls and no less than three yellow cards distributed by Mr. Oliver in less than two minutes. Leao gave himself a big chance in the 58th minute but his poorly executed control threw him off the balance and he stumbled at last on Unai Simon. Aside from the occasion, there isn’t much to put in your mouth. But Portugal will succeed in achieving a tie through Ricardo Horta, receiving a cross from Cancelo (82). The two teams share points in this first match of the Nations League.
