health. The Pro-Cœur Memphrémagog team invites residents once again to the annual golf tournament to be held on September 12 at the Mont Orford Club.
Introduced for the 22nd year, the event is one of the major funding sources for this organization that provides cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation programs, as well as cognitive rehabilitation programs to people in the Greater Magog area.
Over the last two editions, nearly $80,000 has been raised.
Pro-Cœur was founded in 1997 by Dr Mario Wilhelmi – who still serves as director – and was originally aimed at people with cardiovascular diseases.
Over the years, its scope has been expanded to include patients with chronic respiratory diseases and, more recently, people with cognitive disorders such as Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease.
Golfers interested in participating in the Sept. 12 tournament can contact Meggie Ménard at 819 345-0545 or via email at [email protected].
You can also register online or donate by visiting procoeurmemphremagog.com/. Registration for the entire day is $175 per person (green fee, cart, dinner, refreshments) or $650 per foursome.
