After The Outer Worlds, Grounded and Pentiment, studio Obsidian Entertainment has decided to return to one of its old licenses, Pillars of Eternity, to turn it into an ambitious first-person RPG planned for fall 2024 on PC and Xbox Series.
First introduced at the Xbox Games Showcase in July 2020, Avowed is a first-person fantasy RPG developed by Obsidian. The studio is known for its work New vegas fallout or Outer worlds Recently, it decided to reuse its old license, Pillars of eternity, to expand her world. Avved is expected to be released in Fall 2024 on PC and PC Xbox seriesAnd, of course, it will be available from the day of its release on Game arcade.
Unlike Pilars of Eternity, which offered gameplay in an isometric view of an RPG that focused heavily on its storytelling and the depth of its world, Avowed is shaping up to be a game aimed at a general audience, with the gameplay focused on action. The adventure will still take place in the world of Eora, but in a new area: The Living Lands.
Made up of different ecosystems, this wild and corrupt island is home to its share of mysteries, creatures, and tribes. Throughout the adventure, you'll face choices that will have a major impact on the rest of the story, and your traveling companions, who you'll meet as you progress, will also have an important role to play.

The combat gameplay promises to be particularly rich and diverse, as it will be possible to fight with many different weapons, but also with many spells, all with the possibility of switching from one to another very quickly.
Avowed was initially designed to be a co-op game, but will eventually be an experience that can be played exclusively solo, to ensure immersion and engagement in the narrative. Obsidian Studio states that this is the largest project in its history in terms of development, which only bodes well given its reputation.
Avowed will be released in Fall 2024 on PC and Xbox Series.
