Members, Laurentian friends and neighbors met on the docks of the former co-op, answering the invitation of President Isaac Gonçalves, Vice President Manuel Afonso and their entire wonderful team. The Lusitanian community and their Catalan friends shared this traditional meal: grilled sardines. Within the volunteers the best welcome of all, and this event is a lot of work, a real challenge, but very satisfying for the Portuguese Laurentian community to delight people around this perfect sardine. Portuguese culture is important and fully integrated. Eating sardines like this without fuss is a natural culture and treat. Portuguese society is fully integrated into the local fabric. Sharing a moment of their culture is a real pleasure. Mayor Alain Gott and his deputy, Pascal Bellos, came to greet this initiative, especially the elected officials Sandra Baraga and José Vegas who came to share this moment of coexistence. Congratulations to the whole team and to the grills: Georges, Mario, Ghislaine and Didier. The afternoon continued to the beat of guitars, accordions, cymbals and sweet smiles.
