Loris Veneman took pole position for the second time in a row in the Supersport 300 World Championship, this time at the Portimão round. The driver clearly won during the Superpole on Friday. Thomas Alonso was the best of the Portuguese, finishing 24th.
The first to complete the flying lap was Veneman (MTM Kawasaki), but then the lead was taken by Jeffrey Boyce (Freudenberg KTM-Paligo Racing) and Mirko Ginai (MTM Kawasaki).
With about a quarter of an hour to go, Feynman was back in the lead with a time that had already given him first place. However, he improved again twice and was never overtaken.
In second place was Ginnyai, who was 0.517 seconds slower, followed by Galang Hendra Pratama (ProGP NitiRacing/Yamaha). Leader Iñigo Iglesias Bravo (Fusport-RT Motorsport by SKM-Kawasaki) will start from seventh, 0.839 seconds slower than Veneman.
The Portuguese was the strongest, Alonso (Pons Motorsport Italica Racing/Kawasaki) who scored for the 24th time. Denis Borges (Speed Master Racing/Kawasaki) achieved the 32nd time on the first lap, but crashed at the exit of the pit lane.
