While not as ridiculous as the new flat Earth theory, the dead internet theory seems to have a strong connection to reality. After all, bots have been replacing organic human traffic for some time in some areas of the internet, and various government actors and corporations have been caught red-handed more than once trying to manipulate the public. Today, SocialAI He offers a watered-down version of this theory, offering what can be described as a single-user social network for people who are tired of humans acting like robots and who would rather interact with robots in the first place.
Michael Sayman, the creator of SocialAI, recently revealed that the technology has finally caught up with his vision for this consumer app that was impossible to write for years. From now on, his app is being presented as “A private social network where you receive millions of comments generated by artificial intelligence, providing you with feedback, advice and ideas on every post you publish.” During registration, the user can choose the type of followers they want. The list of available options includes the most common types of human followers that are usually found online, such as fans, followers, trolls, critics, trolls, skeptics, haters, nerds, etc. After that, each post will receive comments from the specified bot categories.
Unfortunately, SocialAI is currently only available on the App Store, and there is no working web version yet. Until this app is released as a web service or at least as an Android app, those who want to learn more about the dead internet theory should check it out.
