Algerian football – The management of the Portuguese formation of Sporting Lisbon finds itself before justice because of its former Algerian international player, Islam Slimani.
After reaching an agreement with Olympique Lyonnais to end the last six months of his contract, Islam Slimani signed, in January 2022, with Sporting Lisbon, where he actually played from 2013 to 2016. However, the return of the Algerian international to the club he revealed in the old continent ended in disaster. In fact, in a dispute with the first person in charge of the Lais technical tape, Ruben Amorim, who permanently expelled him from the first team, the former striker of the youth sports club de Belouizdad did not go to the end of his team – and – a half-year contract, leaving the banal Portuguese league to return to the league First class Uber Eats via Stade Brestois.
Moreover, while everything seemed to be settled between the two parties, the management of the Portuguese team finds itself embroiled in court due to the transfer of the top scorer in the history of the Algerian national team from OL to Sporting CP. In this sense, and according to information from the Portuguese sports daily “Record”, the agent of the 34-year-old striker is demanding €288,000 from Sporting. Luca Pacerini believes he was the mediator in moving Superslim from Lyon to Alvalade in the winter of 2022.
