The body of a woman missing since May 2012 was found on Sunday, New Year's Eve, near the Disney World exit in Kissimmee, Florida.
After 17 months of searching 63 bodies of water and various highway locations, authorities with the Orlando Police Department finally found the body of Sandra Lemire, who had been missing for 12 years, according to a Sunshine State Sonar Facebook post.
On Sunday, Sandra's car and personal belongings were found completely submerged in a retention pond on the side of I4, near the Disney World exit.
The mysterious disappearance of 47-year-old Sandra Lemire dates back to the day she left her grandmother's family home in Orlando on May 8, 2012.
In her grandmother's car, she drove to Kissimmee, Florida, to meet a man she had connected with on a dating app.
In Kissimmee, Sandra called her grandmother to inform her of her arrival. However, this was his last call. She was last seen at a Denny's restaurant in Kissimmee while driving.
However, local authorities decided that this man would not be involved in the disappearance of the 47-year-old woman, according to the New York Post.
