Over the years, Maria and José Ribeiro have become indispensable in their construction of beautiful Parisian neighbourhoods. This couple of Portuguese immigrants who have lived in France for more than thirty years is appreciated by everyone. Maria, the concierge in a beautiful building in Haussmann, and José, the site manager, are renowned for their immense kindness. The couple is so popular that when they see their dream of returning to Portugal on good terms come true, no one wants to let them go! How far will family, neighbors and bosses go to keep them in their little golden cage? What will Maria and Jose decide?
