The Ivorian Mural Artists Group, at the heart of the dialogue between science and society

As a reminder, the Climate Mural is a climate change awareness workshop that uses a visual and participatory approach to better understand the interactions of the climate system. The aim of the workshop is to enable participants to realize the impact of their actions on the environment and to encourage them to participate in the fight against climate change.

The Ivorian Mural Artists Group consists of about ten members:

  • Use the climate mural to raise awareness among participants while maintaining a connection to science.
  • Organize a monthly event to provide a platform for exchange between experts and non-scientific audiences to promote science-society dialogue and discuss climate change.

Since its creation, the group has mobilized over a hundred participants in organized mural workshops. They also hosted a stand during the “Green and Blue Jobs for Youth” career days on March 22 and 23 at the Ivory Hotel. This was an opportunity for them to interact with Mr. Mamadou Touré, Minister of Youth Promotion, Youth Employment, Professional Integration and Civil Service, during his visit to their stand.
