On October 10, Montoir-de-Bretagne hosted the first leg of the journey WEC van Ruysdael. Two container ships from the Dutch shipowner will now serve the Loire estuary each week as part of A new line was built to meet the request of a Portuguese company wishing to convert its land flows to sea transportation for its shipments to western France.
WEC already operates a line between the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp Area (ARA), the Thames Estuary, and Spain’s Basque Coast with Bilbao and Portugal. The new service, marketed without the UK/NWC/France-Maroc branding, is a copy of it, while extending to Casablanca and stopping at Montoir-de-Bretagne. It is a precedent for the owner of a ship that has not yet served French ports.
