Thetford Mines Municipal Council has appointed three new members to its Urban Planning Advisory Committee. This approach follows the call for applications launched a few months ago for residents.
Joining the elected officials already in place, these five persons officially constitute this committee, whose mandate is to convey opinions to the Council regarding various requests made by citizens in matters of city planning and regional development.
Of the three new members, two have accepted two-year terms: Logan Morissette, coordinator of the downtown heritage organization, and J. Chantal Roy, retired project manager. Luc Falardeau, a local involved in several hiking trail development projects, will serve in this role for one year.
“We are very pleased to see the interest of citizens in city planning and urban design. These new members have skills that will enrich the discussions and recommendations presented to the Municipal Council. It is clear that I “I want to thank the outgoing members for their involvement in recent years.”
Remember that the Urban Planning Advisory Committee, appointed by the Municipal Council, meets 16 times a year, with one or two meetings per month.
