An American volunteer doctor sent to Israel recounts the atrocities he witnessed.

“There is no mercy,” he said in an interview with CNN.
Nick Robertson says he met two children who had been taken hostage and was particularly moved by their stories as he resuscitated and treated other victims.
“We were in the closet for 12 hours. The army arrived and released them. Then they told me: ‘I saw my parents killed in front of me. I am hungry, I haven’t eaten for 12 hours.’”
“To see this brutality and understand that these are young children suffering in this way… it will take a long time to process it. “I started crying yesterday,” he added.
“Seeing humans being able to do this is surreal,” he said.
“We were on the front line. We saw the missiles coming. The attack blew up an apartment building. We heard continuous gunfire.”
“They executed people in their homes. The attacks were constant. They weren’t just shooting. They stabbed people, shot them and cut their throats,” the doctor reveals.
According to an initial report, more than 560 people have been killed in the area since Saturday.
