No, not necessarily, and perhaps moreover, not many people expected it. Nantes remains an Avi achievement the to win (35-29, last September 22, editor's note) but otherwise we are very strong in defense and thanks to that we won in Dunkirk (27-24) and Limoges (29-28). It seems to me that this is the key to a good start to the season.

Many doubts were raised about your team's capabilities after the departure of Ayoub Abdi to Nantes. Was the locker room offended?
It's the same thing every year or so: we lose an important player and everyone tells us it will be too complicated. (smiling). This was already the case with Luuk (Stains in November 2020 for Paris Saint-Germain, editor's note) or Eric (Balenciaga in 2023 for Melsungen) and each time we managed without them. We lost a great player there, the best right-back in the tournament, but in the end we will never be able to win games thanks to a player. That's not how it works, because there's a real playing philosophy here.

The defeat at home at the end of last season against Saran (29-30) reminded us that we are not yet free from this kind of trap, as you say. This is the perfect example that if we are not vigilant, things can go wrong. There are no free matches and this match is the one you have to win. Of course we will be favorites but we have to put ourselves in the same frame of mind as if we were Nantes even if it is not always easy.
