Thiago Dagalo, new to Portugal

Lille defender Thiago Gallo is new in the list of 26 players called up by Portugal for the next two matches in the Nations League, against the Czech Republic and then Spain.

This is the first time coach Fernando Santos has called up the 22-year-old who was playing for the Los Angeles team.

The group led by base captain Cristiano Ronaldo, despite his current position as a substitute at Manchester United, also has several returns.

2016 European champions Joao Mario and Rafa Silva have been recalled after strong performances with Benfica, particularly in the Champions League. Wolverhampton winger Pedro Neto has also been called up again.

Defender Ruben Dias and striker Joao Felix, who were both injured during the last rally in June, are back in the squad selected by Fernando Santos.

Portugal’s roster also features several weight absences such as Wolverhampton midfielder Joao Moutinho, the second most capped player in Portuguese selection history, or even strikers Goncalo Guedes and Andre Silva.

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Renato Sanchez and Porto Porto striker are also absent, but due to injury.

La Seleção will travel to Prague on September 24 to face the Czech Republic, then host Spain on September 27 in Braga.
