A woman in Minnesota, US, has decided to sue her dentist who allegedly performed so many procedures in one visit that she received so much anesthesia that she was left disfigured.
Kathleen Wilson claimed that her dentist, Dr.s Kevin Muldream allegedly placed eight dental crowns, four root canals and 20 fillings during a single visit to his office in 2020, reports Star Tribune After obtaining court documents.
The specialist is also alleged to have falsified his patient's medical records in order to hide the 960 milligram dose of anesthesia he administered to her, which is far more than the maximum dose of 490 milligrams allowed for a lengthy procedure, again according to the media.
To support his point, MI Wilson had his medical records reviewed by Dr.s Avrum Goldstein, a dentist in Florida, admitted that such a procedure is dangerous.
According to him, performing such a large number of procedures on 28 teeth would be “impossible to achieve” if done according to the rules of art.
MI Wilson is seeking $50,000 in moral damages and help with the medical costs of repairs, while she had to receive treatment for several months to “try to stabilize her mouth,” he said. Star Tribune.
