Skinny jeans, thongs, sheaths, spinner stilettos… Tight clothing is bad for our health, and it’s much more than we think. Oftentimes, these inconveniences can have serious consequences.
Here’s why you should avoid tight-fitting clothing at all costs.
Digestive problems
High-waisted pants and tight waistbands often cause digestive problems such as abdominal pain, bloating, and constipation. These garments have a direct effect on the intestines, which can no longer function properly when compressed so hard.
inflamed skin
For example, a bra that is too tight, pressing on the breast, can cause redness, itching, and even burning. It often appears after a certain period of time of wearing the same underwear, hence the importance of focusing on it from the moment of purchase or from the first seconds in the fitting room. The same goes for leather pants or jeans that are too tight, because the constant friction can generate blisters in the most severe cases.
Back blocked veins
Circulation is also affected by clothing that is too tight at the level of the thighs, the groin cavity, or the back of the knees, which completely prevents the return of the vein. These low-oxygen areas may be prone to varicose veins and cellulite. Sometimes the feeling of numbness develops and leads to the unwanted phenomenon of heaviness in the legs.
Frequent mycosis and vaginitis
Filamentous, tanga and too tight underwear prevents the skin and mucous membranes from breathing, hence the risk of recurrent vulvovaginitis. Knowing that sweating and soaking the private parts promote the breeding of bacteria, it is best to wear looser panties. The fungus can reach the inter-gluteal fold and ascend down the spine, especially in people who are overweight.
The five rules to remember
1) Prioritize comfort with clothes that are neither too tight nor too loose, because nothing should touch your delicate skin! If you can, choose, say, a bra without underwire.
2) Prioritize natural textile fibers (cotton, linen, hemp, silk, wool) over synthetic fabrics.
3) Buy shoes of the correct size (length and width) to avoid foot deformities.
4) Choose knitted woolen hats, which are ideal for the scalp.
5) And know that you can wear tighter clothes if you like, but not every day!
