Do you want to treat yourself to one of the best smartphones but your budget is limited to 200 euros? We have selected the Samsung Galaxy A14 4G, Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 4G and Honor 70 Lite models for you. But among these, which one is really for you? Here are several technical characteristics you can compare to help you see more clearly.
The three mobile phones we’ve chosen for you offer fairly traditional designs. The Samsung Galaxy A14 4G is the purest of the three with its back where you can see the image sensor lenses barely sticking out of the body and without any other trickery. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 4G has a panel in the color of the device to accommodate the image sensors as well as the flash. This is also the case for the Honor 70 Lite which, on its part, offers a square panel with 4 circles of the same diameter for perfect symmetry. It is available in colors that everyone will appreciate. In terms of size, the Galaxy A14 4G is the heaviest at 201 grams compared to 194 grams for the Honor 70 Lite and 183 grams for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 4G. The latter is also the thinnest with a profile of 7.85 mm compared to 8.68 mm of the Honor 70 Lite and 9.1 mm of the Samsung mobile phone. The Honor smartphone is the smallest in size and therefore takes up the least space in a pocket or bag.
To work, the three smartphones are equipped with a battery of identical capacity as they are all 5,000 mAh. The Xiaomi phone is faster to charge than the others, with the Samsung phone being the slowest of the three. None offer wireless or reverse charging.
What is the most efficient and what is the quality of the screens?
The mobile phone that offers the most power among our lineup is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 4G as it features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. It is followed by the Honor 70 Lite phone, which uses a Snapdragon 480+ Soc processor with 4 GB of RAM and the possibility of adding 3 more via virtual RAM technology. The Galaxy A14 4G also has this ability to add 4GB of virtual RAM to the 4GB that is physically located at the heart of the mobile phone. The chipset is the least efficient among the three when it comes to the MediaTek Helio G80 processor. They are available in different storage capacities, and all of them accept the addition of a memory card to expand the internal memory.
The most interesting display in our opinion is that of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 4G since it sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and makes use of a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz to provide smooth scrolling. In addition, Xiaomi has announced a high brightness of up to 1200 cd/m². The Samsung Galaxy A14 4G has a 6.6-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels on an LCD panel, which is of lower quality and above all with a much lower frequency as it is limited to 60 Hz. The Honor 70 Lite also uses an LCD panel, at 6 . 5 inches with a lower resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, but at a frequency of 90 Hz.
What compositions for images and what connection?
For taking photos, all three devices are equipped with a 50-megapixel main sensor. Samsung and Xiaomi complement this with a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor for the Galaxy A14 4G and an 8-megapixel sensor for the Redmi Note 12 4G. The Honor 70 Lite, for its part, does not have an ultra-wide-angle sensor, but rather a dedicated module for improving selfies. All three smartphones are equipped with a 2-megapixel sensor for shooting in macro mode, that is, very close to the subject.
For selfies, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 4G and Galaxy A14 4G have a 13-megapixel front sensor compared to 8-megapixel on the front of the Honor 70 Lite.
In terms of connectivity, Xiaomi and Samsung phones are limited to 4G networks compared to accessing 5G networks, which is more efficient for the Honor 70 Lite. All three devices offer Wi-Fi 5 as well as NFC for contactless payments. They have a fingerprint reader installed in the profile to verify the owner. The Xiaomi phone has the advantage of being officially IP53 certified which can withstand splashes. Additionally, it has an infrared transmitter to turn it into a universal remote control.
