The Rio Loco Festival has revealed the first names in the program for the 2022 edition “Nova Onda” to be held from June 15-19 in Toulouse.
A week after the dates have been announced, the Toulouse Festival presents us with a first list of names from its 2022 program. From June 15-19 we will be able to discover Danish pianist and singer Agnes Opel and Brazilian Chico Cesar Electric for French-Portuguese Lucy Antunes, voice from Senegal bass, Fado Lina Raoul Rivery and Bowes Rock.

We know more about the vibrant Rio Logo 2022 poster created from the festive and sparkling work “Meu Amor Inventado” by Joanna Vasconcelos! The first woman ever exhibited at the Palace of Versailles, the Portuguese artist works in a variety of disciplines – monumental installations, video, textiles and painting – between tradition and modernity. The festival explains to us that “Joana Vasconcelos’ poster contains several nods to Portuguese culture: the grape cluster so dear to the country’s viticulture, the ancestral art of watermarks, as well as the ‘Coração De Viana’ (Heart of Viana), a symbol of life, brotherhood, friendship and universal love.”
