“Treat yourself to something nice”: The client gives her 0 for her kindness

This Starbucks employee had a big surprise when a customer sent her a thank you note… along with $200, allowing her to finally purchase an urn so she could take her mother's ashes home.

In a TikTok video, @dopaqueen715 — who actually goes by the name Kourtney — explained that she works part-time as a barista at Starbucks.

“I arrive at 4 a.m. most days and finish at 9:30 or 10 a.m. I'm OK with that. I love this job. I'm a morning person. I'm full of enthusiasm.” […] “I'm loud and I'm proud and we love it,” she said right away.

On Thursday morning, the client didn't seem to be in a good mood so she put on a smile…which she succeeded in doing.

Shortly after their discussion, the client gave the manager a message for Courtney.

“I travel a lot for work. This usually means late nights and very early mornings […] I've been here for two days and so far you've been the only person I've met who has been genuinely nice. You were the first face I saw this morning and you really brightened my day.

“Reward yourself with something nice. I can tell you deserve it. Maybe just not coffee. Do good in this world and it will always come back to you,” the customer concluded, offering the bartender $200.

What she didn't know was that Courtney had been in a precarious financial situation since her mother died last summer.

“I decided to buy the jar I was looking for and bring my mother home for Mother’s Day. I didn’t know how I was going to be able to afford it, but the $200 you put in this piece of paper today allows me to spend Mother’s Day with my mother,” she said in a video. .
