Donald Trump has called on Russian President Vladimir Putin, in the midst of the war in Ukraine, to reveal possible compromising information he has about US President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter.
Thus, the former Republican president returns to the accusations that he repeated many times, especially during his campaign for the presidency of 2020, which the person in question denied.
Hunter Biden is one of Donald Trump’s favorite targets. The Trump camp regularly criticized the fact that this troubled son had economic interests in Ukraine and China when his father was Barack Obama’s vice president (2009-2017).
In an interview broadcast on Real America’s Voice “Just the News” on Tuesday, Mr. Trump confirmed that the Moscow mayor’s wife had given $3.5 million to Hunter Biden and his “family.”
“That’s a lot of money. She gave him $3.5 million and I think Putin will have the answer to that. I think he should make it public,” Trump said.
“I think we should know that answer,” he added during this interview, which was conducted by his presenters at his Florida residence.
Donald Trump had already asked Joe Biden, during a pre-election debate, “Why, out of curiosity, did the wife of the mayor of Moscow give $3.5 million to your son?”
The Democrat replied, “That’s not true.”
Donald Trump has in the past accused Joe Biden of getting Ukraine’s attorney general fired to protect a gas company, Burisma, from prosecution for corruption, because his son was at the time a member of the group’s board of directors.
This “Ukrainian affair” had earned Donald Trump historic impeachment proceedings, after the Democratic opposition accused him of abusing his presidential duties by pressuring Ukraine to investigate his political rival and his son’s business activities.
In the end, the Senate acquitted him.
