Donald Trump's campaign filed a complaint with the US Federal Election Commission on Tuesday against Kamala Harris and Joe Biden.
Donald Trump's campaign general counsel, David Warrington, has accused them of violating US campaign finance law by funneling money raised by Joe Biden to Kamala Harris, The New York Times reported.
The complaint was filed after Mr. Biden's committee was renamed Harris for President“Harris for President” after the outgoing president announced his withdrawal from the race.
Kamala Harris is trying to commit a $91.5 million theft. [126,14 millions en dollars canadiens] On the remaining funds for Joe Biden's campaign,” he said, adding that this would be the most serious violation in the history of the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971.
Mr. Warrington accuses the president, vice president and their campaign treasurer of “violating the law by offering and receiving an excessive financial contribution” and submitting “fraudulent forms” to the Federal Election Commission in order to “reassign the candidate’s campaign committee to another candidate.”
Ms. Harris's campaign spokesman, Charles Lutvak, believes Republicans are “jealous” of the amount of money the Harris camp has raised since Sunday, and calls the complaint “baseless.”
