President Trump will announce on Tuesday that he is running for president. “It would be a very professional and elegant ad,” his adviser Jason Miller said on “War Room,” the podcast by Steve Bannon, another close friend of Donald Trump.
The 76-year-old Republican feels that the question of his nomination “was not even brought up,” Mr. Miller explained, saying he spoke to him earlier in the day.
“Of course I introduce myself. I will do it, and I want to make sure people know that I’m excited and that we need to get the country back on the right track,” Donald Trump allegedly assured him.
“Everyone knows I’m coming, let’s go,” he reportedly added.
Donald Trump’s nomination will be his third. But even if his influence on the Republican Party remains undeniable, he nonetheless appeared weak from the midterm elections, during which many of his aides were disappointed.
Conversely, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, the new star of the hard right, was re-elected with a victory. The victory cemented his position as a potential rival to the former president for the Republican nomination.
Coincidence or not, Tuesday is also the day the memoirs of another potential rival of Donald Trump, his former Vice President Mike Pence, were published.
