St. Bear. Two festive occasions at Ehpad Les Roches. At the end of the month, the residents of Les Roche Nursing Home shared a couple of moments of recuperation, well settled under the trees of the park.
Birthdays are celebrated in June and July on Fridays. Host Chloe Philippe, honoring eight women: Monique Godonic (87), Julian Bettel (88), Yvette Biro (96), Jeanine Dupuis (94), Odette Guillaume (82), Mary Hooker (87) ), Anne-Marie Brach (88 years old), Colette Tessier (85 years old) and a gentleman, Pierre Schravel (84 years old). And to make the afternoon even more cheerful, singer-accordionist Patrick Bouguerell was invited to present a range of varied French classics, or tunes from yesteryear to the delight of the residents. Some, taken in by the nostalgic atmosphere, did not hesitate to take some well-known refrains and make dance moves.
This entertainment ended on a gourmet note with a tasting of the cake prepared by the establishment’s pastry chefs. On Sunday, as part of the Shepherd’s Feast, the departure of the Corso Garden of flowering carriages and the Portuguese folk group of Riom enabled the elderly to enjoy the joys of this festivity. Music, clip art, folklore, and tropes have been collected to commemorate the youth’s distant memories.
