Two young women, one of them seriously, were injured in an accident Tuesday night near a park in Beauharnois, Monterrey.
The accident occurred shortly after 9pm when the 20-year-old, who was on the roof of a moving vehicle, was reported to have lost her balance before falling onto Boulevard de Melocheville.
After sustaining serious injuries, the victim was taken to a trauma unit in Montreal, and the other girl, aged 17, was also injured and taken to a hospital in the area.
The Monterey Ambulance Technician Cooperative (CETAM) confirmed that the two victims were in a stable condition.
“Two people were injured, but we don’t fear for their lives,” the Chateauway police pointed out simply curtly.
The police found the suspect car that had escaped in the parking lot of an apartment building on Caduceus Street near Dupuy Street.
It is not known whether the driver of the car was arrested, as the police did not confirm the information and only said that the investigation is continuing.
