Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is expected to announce his candidacy for the 2024 US presidential election this week. See Guillaume Lavoie’s analysis.

“I don’t know if he is the most credible candidate, but he is certainly the one who will have the best chances compared to the others,” said Guillaume Lavoie, associate member of Raoul Dandurand.
According to opinion polls on voting intentions mentioned by the expert, Trump’s percentage ranges between 40 and 50%, and DeSantis reaches between 18 and 22%.
“He is relatively young compared to the other opponents. He is 44 years old, graduated from Yale and Harvard. He entered the army. After that, he married a well-known news anchor in Florida. He became a congressman and since then founded the Freedom Caucus. He is a very right-wing Republican. How will the Trump camp react to the announcement of DeSantis’ candidacy?
