A casting took place in Orgelet, in the Jura, this Sunday, May 14, 2023, for the film “Vingt Dieux”, directed by Louise Courvoisier, a native of the department. The director would like to work exclusively with Jurassic and Jurassic. We were present during the casting. reporting.
This summer, The Jura will host the filming of a feature film by Cressia-based Louise Courvoisier. This movie titled “Vingt Dieux” produced by Agat Films is a comedy-drama. It will tell the story of Tony, a young man who takes over his father’s fruit farm to create an old-fashioned county. The roles of the cast and extras will be played by residents of Jura with little or no experience in cinema. The manager is particularly keen on this, and the goal is to stick as closely as possible to the reality of the area. So this Sunday a selection process was made in Orgelet, in the Jura, to find extras.
Casting director Emmanuel Thomas identified the required profiles. “We’re looking for representation of the people of Jura. That’s what we’re trying to show on screen with Louise. We’re looking for profiles from 18 to 99. We welcome Franck Comtois.” Actors, yes, but not just any actor. Some of the participants were recruited to perform a test in front of the camera, in a “wild” way, as Clara, 18, explains to us. “I was taken in a bar. They asked if I was interested in taking part because I was black and young. They are looking for a very young girl with a strong personality. It went well. The past. I would like to be taken. It’s an adventure.”
Lauren and Isaline are sisters. They also took part in auditions this Sunday: “We’ve been slapped against the entrance to the room where we came to hear our mother sing. It includes the residents, it’s wonderful. It also brings the Jura to life, it’s really cool.” Sylvie from Clairveaux-les-Lacs was also cast. “It is a project that can also improve the region. It is important, it gives a vision and spreads our beautiful region. If you are available, I would like to participate”She explained to us in turn.
