The different events planned for the New Year in Albufeira are: Carpe Nox, Paderne Medieval, and Solrir.
The city's mayor said: “We spent two years without being able to promote one of our biggest tourist attractions, for reasons related to the pandemic, but we are back to relaunch this tradition that attracts visitors from all over the world.” Jose Carlos Rollo.
“New Year's Eve in Albufeira will feature the icon of Portuguese music, with another more contemporary artist and also with a large fireworks display, never before seen in Europe, guaranteeing an unforgettable New Year's Eve and a high-quality show.”
The New Year's Eve party will be held on a beach Pescadores Beach From 10pm and it will be free. In addition to performances by Roy Veloso and Tatanka, there will also be a water music show and an artistic skydive with aerial choreography and fireworks.
As part of the New Year's Eve programme, there will also be Solrir, a comedy festival that will take place on December 30 and January 1 at the Algarve's Palais des Congrès, with Antonio Raminhos, Vasco Correa and Luis Felipe Borges on the first evening. Hugo Souza and Abdias Melo, on stage on January 1st.
