WhatsApp allows Android users to log in without a password using passkeys

WhatsApp users on Android can say goodbye to two-factor authentication via SMS, as Meta has just announced the arrival of Passkeys, which will allow you to use biometric authentication for your devices.

Google announced last week that passkeys will become the default authentication method for its users in personal accounts. In the announcement, Google also indicated that support for passkeys is increasing, listing some companies that have already enabled them on their apps and websites, and mentioning WhatsApp as one of the companies that will soon be compatible.
