The WhatsApp Beta desktop app for Windows lets you make calls, but there was no way to find your call history. This has changed with a recent update, as Meta has begun rolling out a new Calls tab for the WhatsApp Beta desktop app for Windows, allowing users to view call history within the desktop app.
The new WhatsApp Calls tab is available in the app’s sidebar, and it comes with other options, including Chats and Status. The sidebar button is home to the settings and user profile. Apart from the Calls option, other sidebar tabs have been available for a long time. The ability to see your WhatsApp call logs on the desktop beta app has been rolling out since it was updated to version 2.2246.4.0.
However, call recordings on the WhatsApp mobile app and desktop beta app may not sync. Calls you make on your phone may not be reflected on the desktop app and vice versa. This can be frustrating but it is understandable as this is a beta app. However, the instant messenger should release a fix for this issue as soon as possible.
Another caveat is the limited availability of the Calls tab, even if you’re a beta tester. But with future updates, the feature should be available to more beta testers and eventually to everyone outside of the beta program. Could you Download whatsapp desktop beta from Microsoft Store.
