On Sunday, the judicial police in Tangier arrested a 33-year-old Portuguese man. It will be Fabio Loureiro, a dangerous criminal wanted by his country's authorities.
The suspect is subject to an international arrest warrant issued by the Portuguese authorities and a red notice from Interpol. Fabio Loureiro, who entered Morocco illegally, was located thanks to information provided by the services of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance, which allowed his arrest in Tangier on Sunday evening.

According to the first elements of the investigation, the 33-year-old Portuguese is one of five dangerous criminals who escaped from prison in Portugal on September 7. The fugitive arrested in Tangier was serving a 25-year prison sentence for his connection to a criminal network and on charges of armed robbery and threatening. According to the international arrest warrant issued against him, he also faces a 31-year prison sentence.

After his arrest in Tangier, the criminal was placed in detention awaiting extradition to Portugal, within the framework of international security cooperation mechanisms.
