A significant increase in whooping cough cases has been observed since the beginning of June in Abitibi-Témiscaminghe.

Since then, nearly a hundred cases have been reported.

The majority of those affected are between 10 and 19 years old.

People with symptoms are advised to avoid contact with at-risk groups, namely young children and the elderly.

Vaccination services are also provided for those who wish to do so.
