World of Science demonstrations are coming to the Qathiet School District

Fun, interactive science displays are scheduled to come to the Qathet School District, including Texada Island

Next month, students in the Qathiet School District (qSD) will have the opportunity to visit the world of science in Vancouver without leaving their schools. From February 12 to 16, the world of science travel snapshot On the road The team visits QSD schools.

“After a successful tour to the Sunshine Coast Last Septembertea On the road The team is continuing its outreach to schools in the Qatar Education Zone, which includes a ferry trip to Texada Island, Stefano Giulianetti, World of Science Program Director, said in a media release. “The program brings fun, high-energy live performances and activities to communities across the province that spark scientific curiosity, advance scientific literacy, and inspire future science and technology leaders.”

The purpose of the travel program is to reach communities far from Vancouver with the goal of providing fun science, technology, engineering, arts/design and mathematics (STEAM) experiences to people who may not otherwise be able to visit the Geodesic Dome that is the world of science, located on the Vancouver waterfront.
