Inside the planetarium, which can accommodate about twenty people at a time, there is a projector that can project onto the planetarium’s surface several maps showing various astronomical phenomena such as constellations, the effect that a collision with a planet could have, Saturn’s rings, etc. The company’s animator scrolls through these images and explains to the viewers what they are observing.
The Caisse Desjardins de la MRC de Montmagny, a partner in the project, has offered $4,000 to allow the company to offer this activity to young people this summer. “The company offers between Ciel et Marée a unique educational and fun activity for both children and adults. We are particularly pleased to have the opportunity to contribute to the development and presentation of the planetarium at the MRC day camps because for Desjardins, it is important to combine education and fun in order to encourage young people from our community to pursue their interests and passions,” says Julie Naud, General Manager of the Caisse Desjardins de la MRC de Montmagny.
The company between Ciel et Marée will also welcome people at the Espace MA'AT located in the Saint-Pierre-de-la-Rivière-du-Sud cabinet from Wednesday to Sunday until August 18. Many activities will be offered such as entertainment with virtual reality glasses or observing the sky and the sun.
